Hierarchical Pigeon-Inspired Optimization-Based MPPT Method for Photovoltaic Systems Under Complex Partial Shading Conditions

This article proposes a novel maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method based on the variant of pigeon-inspired optimization (PIO) algorithm for photovoltaic systems under partial shading conditions (PSCs). The proposed integrates hierarchical network behavior pigeon flock and revises map compass operator original PIO to improve efficiency. In addition, landmark is used perform small-scale search achieve fast tracking. Based combination these mechanisms dual-mode dynamic scheme, (HPIO) MPPT has powerful ability deal with PSCs. To verify superiority HPIO method, it compared other existing advanced methods in simulation experiments. Compared traditional techniques artificial intelligence, higher success rate GMPP excellent speed And also shows performance complex PSC multiple clusters load-variation conditions.
